How do we work our Magic

Pulse Productions are here to take the pressure off Performing Arts Schools hiring a highly acclaimed theatrical venue, that comes with ridiculous costs.  We know how much your students love performing, therefore we have created a platform where Dancers/Singers/Actors can showcase their talents in a professional environment in prestigious venues across the UK.  Our productions are slick, fun and highly motivating. We offer you and your students the opportunity to experience the ‘Magic of Theatre’ in a professional environment.

Our Background

Max and Julie, creators of ‘Pulse Productions’, bring a wealth of Theatrical and Television experience with them.  Julie has experience as a performer, teacher, and ‘Performing Arts School’ owner and has produced many productions in the past 16 years of running her schools all over the UK.

Max has worked for many years behind the scenes as a location sound recordist for both film and television. Working across shows such as Big Brother, Traitors and even the notorious Love Island.

Born into a theatrical family, Julie and Max have been part of ‘Spillers Pantomimes’ for many years; seeing them produce ‘Professional Pantomimes’ the length and breadth of the country.

Pulse Productions has one main objective; to provide Performing Arts Schools with great performance opportunities. Your kids will be buzzing after a Pulse Production, giving them that ‘Magical Spark’ and boosting their confidence in your weekly classes. We welcome all genres of Dance Troupes and Musical Theatre performances.  Learn your piece in class time with more excitement and fun, knowing that all the stress on the day will be taken care of by us!

How can my school take part?

If you would like to book a place for your school, please fill out the ‘Enquiry Form’ and let us know. We can also be contacted by email, or if you would like to have a proper chat, simply call us… We are very friendly!

Do we have to pay to take part?

There is no charge for schools to take part; instead, each performer will pay a nominal production fee, this includes the ‘Performance Fee’ and a ‘Pulse Productions’ T Shirt (To keep and to be worn in the finale).

How many performers can take part?

We require a minimum of 25 performers. Chaperones to be provided independently by each school.

What can our Performance include?

We welcome all genres of theatre… Street, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, etc.. Please choose a different style for each piece. 

How does it work with ticket sales?

All ticket sales go directly through the theatre’s Box Office. Each performer is committed to selling a minimum of 3 tickets for the show. When purchasing your tickets, you will be asked which school you are from.

How long will our performance be?

Each school is allocated 8 minutes performance time. You will perform two pieces, each up to 4
minutes long. One in the first half and one in the second half of the show.

Will we have a chance to rehearse on the day?

Yes of course! Each school will have a time slot on stage to block and go through their individual numbers. We will also run a full Dress Rehearsal with all schools later in the day.

Will our school be in one big Finale number?

Yes! All shows should have a good finale. This is down to us… You will receive the choreography and music so you can teach your students an ‘All singing all dancing Showstopper!’ Pulse Production T shirts are to be worn for this.

How does it work with sets/costumes/staging/lighting etc.?

Staging
The stage is set as a black box. There will be no additional staging, risers or treads available
Lighting
Special lighting requirements to be submitted in advance
Sound
Limited Radio mics (Headsets and Handheld) may be available in your venue
Projection
A projector and screen may be provided for use (location dependant)
